School council

There are two children from each school year, except from Reception. They are elected by their peers, but we try to make sure that everyone has a turn. Mrs Goody is in charge of the school council. She is one of the schools Learning Mentors.

We have two meetings each term. Anyone can ask the school council members to put items on the agenda. At the first meeting we discuss ideas for new projects, or any problems. After this meeting, members go back to their classes and discuss with them ideas from the meeting, and listen to opinions. At the second meeting we agree a plan of action based on their findings.
